The Action is a cross-border initiative, implemented in Macedonian and Albanian territories.
Objective: promoting cooperation between different institutional and civil society’s actors in Macedonia, Albania and Bosnia-Herzegovina, which deal with contrasting the traffic of human beings; elaborating and putting into practice prevention programmes; creating a network and promoting partnerships between different stakeholders; supporting and forcing their actions; making aware and informing schools and the public opinion about human rights, illegal migration and human beings traffic.

The project plans Bosnia-Herzegovina involvement, thanks to technical advice which will be offered by a Tuzla ONG specialized in human rights, to Macedonian and Albanian partners.

The principal activities planned by the project are:

- networking activities (round-table discussions, workshops, press conferences)

- analysis and research (study, analysis, sharing of information about human trafficking in Albania and Macedonia)
- educational and information activities in schools (training of a reference group of teachers and schools’ laboratories)

- Awareness raising activities (information and communication campaigns by using radio and local newspapers, a website and a monthly thematic newsletter).

The direct beneficiaries of the intervention are: eight civil society organizations, local governmental bodies, police forces, 21 teachers and 1.200 students of seven secondary schools of Bitola (Macedonia), 2.400 students of six schools of Tetovo (Macedonia) and 2.700 students of eight schools of Korca (Albania).

The European Union has created a web-site dedicated to IPA programme (Instrument of Pre-Accession Assistance) Civil Society Facility, in which is involved the CISS project.
