Il CISS al 2° Forum delle ONG al Cairo (EGITTO)
Il giorni 2 e il 3 marzo 2008 la Cooperazione Canadese (CIDA) ha organizzato al Cairo il Secondo forum delle ONG a cui il CISS è stato invitato.
Il giorni 2 e il 3 marzo 2008 la Cooperazione Canadese (CIDA) ha organizzato al Cairo il Secondo forum delle ONG a cui il CISS è stato invitato a partecipare nella sezione International Development Organizations, che includeva circa 10 partecipanti tra cui Save the Children, ILO, UNODC, etc. Le altre sezioni sono state: Arab NGOs, Egyptian NGOs, Governmental Bodies (tra cui National Council for childhood and Motherhood, NCCM), aziende con dipartimenti di responsabilità sociale che hanno fondi disponibili per finanziare progetti (tra queste Microsoft e Vodafone).
Al forum hanno partecipato il Ministro per la Solidarietà Sociale (a cui sono state illustrato brevemente le attività del CISS in Egitto dalla responabile CISS Milly Grillone), l'ex Segretario delle Nazioni Unite Budrus Gali, una rappresentante della UTL, varie agenzie delle Nazioni Unite e una ONG per paese da Siria, Yemen, Algeria, Tunisia, Giordania. La ONG dello Yemen (Arab Human Rights Foundation) rappresentata dalla Chairwoman Ms. Rajaa Al Masabi, ha chiesto se il CISS è interessato a collaborare con loro per aprire un progetto a Sana'a.
